Transcript Processor

General Purpose:
The purpose of the Transcript Processor is to provide assistance with student retention by processing student transcript requests in a timely manner.
Role Qualifications:
Desired: Bachelor's degree
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Position Responsibilities:
Receive request via email or fax
Research schools via internet/phone
Call/mail/fax/email transcript requests
Receive transcript
Verify transcript is official
Scan transcripts
Check on status with schools via phone and/or email
Update and maintains good records in the database
Other duties as assigned
Keeping paperwork and records secure and confidential
Essential Skills and Experience:
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent organization, prioritization and planning skills a must
Teamwork oriented
Attention to detail accuracy
Numerical and literacy skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience with printing, scanning, faxing, emailing and researching on the internet
Background in customer service
Good communication both written and verbal
Basic bookkeeping skills
Adaptable to change
Ability to work without constant supervision

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
