The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE Connectivity serves a broad range of customers in the commercial aerospace, military / defense and marine (including off-shore, energy exploration) markets. Our customers count on us to deliver engineering solutions and quality products to support a myriad of applications within our industries.
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to work directly with Plant Quality and the Global Supplier Quality Manager as the Quality Engineer. This role is part of a Global team which is responsible for the commodity / manufacturing site supplier performance for the Aerospace Defense & Marine (AD&M) Business unit.

Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI's, including Supplier DLPM disruptions supplier problem solving on time, cost recovery and supplier warranty indicators on a monthly basis
Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of nonconformances
Develop Quality Improvement Plan with low performing suppliers
Aide Manufacturing site in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined APQP process
Lead in ensuring Purchase Order Flow Down, Legal and Regulatory requirements are met and sustained
Promote and Drive Zero Defect mentality within the supply base in the use of such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, Advance Product and Quality Planning (APQP) Statistical Process control (SPC) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) with suppliers
Qualifications
Five or more years of experience in Quality Engineering; with some Supplier Quality Engineering experience.
Demonstrated expertise in quality tools, practices and procedures. Working knowledge ISO 9000 and preferably AS-9100.
Process control knowledge and implementation experience (PFMEA. SPC, CPK, Gage R & R, DOE, Control Plans, etc.).
Experience in Assembly, Stamping, Machining , Plating and Molding is preferred
Ability to travel 30%
