10/2022 SUMMARY OF PURPOSE This position is responsible for providing assistance with technical services throughout the school district.
The incumbent works in collaboration with the Information Technology department as a resource person in the installation and maintenance of technology-based systems, application of systems analysis techniques and procedures and provides technical support to end users within the school district.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Works in collaboration with the Director of Technology Services and other members of the department to:
Assistant in the implementation of the district technology plan.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware/software used with computers.
Assist with training programs for staff in the utilization of hardware and software.
Assist with the maintenance of school district local area networks, wide area network and other networked devices.
Perform installation and set-up of computers.
Perform upgrades/refreshes of equipment to keep devices in working order.
2.
Assists in inventory management, repair records, software repository, materials and plans for replacement and/or upgrade of technology.
3.
Applies basic systems troubleshooting techniques and procedures as required to handle technology demands.
4.
Consults with staff and users as appropriate to determine hardware, software or system functional applications.
5.
Designs, documents, analyzes, tests and/or modifies computer systems or programs based on user specifications and/or related to machine operating systems.
6.
Keeps all hardware operational and maintains a preventative maintenance program for all equipment.
7.
Provides telephone, electronic mail, remote and on-site technical support for end users.
8.
Serves as computer technology hardware and software troubleshooter for the school district.
9.
Provisioning and system setup for students and new hires.
10.
Perform preventative maintenance, including checking, cleaning, and updated of user devices.
11.
Assists with creating documentation, guides, and videos for training and technology assistance.
12.
Communicates with third-party vendors for replacement and repair of equipment.
13.
Periodically review data security practices and policies.
14.
Establishes an optimum relationship with others.
15.
Maintains confidentiality.
16.
Performs other duties that may be assigned by supervisors.
SCOPE AND IMPACT This position accomplishes most of its tasks through diversified technical and operating procedures.
Internal contacts include administrators, District Office employees, teachers, principals, students and other school district employees.
The external contacts may include outside organizations, parents and the general public.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Associates or Bachelor's degree in computer science/technology and one to three years experience preferred.
High school diploma required.
Training and experience with technology and computer related systems is desired.
Experience with Windows Operating System (OS version 10 and 11) required.
Valid driver license and ability to drive to district locations when required.

Assists with assigning tickets and triaging important tasks based on importance and severity.

Serves as computer technology hardware and software troubleshooter for the school district.

10.
Perform preventative maintenance, including checking, cleaning, and updated of user devices, including OS, driver/firmware, and security updates.
11.
Schedule, monitor, and track maintenance defined by policies and procedures.
12.
Ensure endpoint antivirus update policies are implemented and devices are compliant.
13.
Create and maintain documentation, guides, and videos for training and technology assistance.

Manage endpoints and software through MDM and other remote tools.
