Position Description:
Business Services Specialist provides in-office sales and support for Accounting Officers & Ag Business Consultants while serving as the second point of contact for customers.
Their focus is providing in-house payroll processing, in-house recordkeeping services, assisting with tax preparation services, and building strong customer relationships.
They maintain a favorable Farm Credit image through promoting & supporting the accounting related services to improve customer successArea of Responsibilities include:
Invoicing & billing of Business Services customers for services rendered (primary function) Customer Success - Promptly and professionally responds to email communication and phone calls as well as meet with customers in the branch as needed, building strong customer relationships.
Investigate and resolve customer problems as requested by accounting staff, coordinating resolutions to customer challenges.
Accounting Support - Provides timely support to respective accounting staff through a variety of administrative and support duties associated with accounting& tax services.
Provides administrative support with year-end tax mailings, assembly of customer tax return packages, and tracking and electronic filing of tax returns, etc.
Payroll & Records Processing - Performs all in-house payroll and recordkeeping services for customers.
Responsible for in-house record keeping, data entry, reporting, reconciliations and delivery of complete record packages to customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
Generally, zero to two years of experience in payroll processing, accounting functions, tax preparation or other financial related processing.
Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.
Possesses strong organizational skills.
Basic knowledge of accounting and tax software.
Builds a basic working knowledge of farm accounting principles and their application.
Identifies and understands requires customer information needed to provide payroll, records or tax return services.
