is looking to add a Rolling and Forming Estimator to our team.
Essential Duties/
Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive estimates for fabrication for a variety of structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects focusing on the rolling and forming components of the project Prepare detailed material take-offs, estimates, and proposals in accordance with the project requirements and required scope of work utilizing design drawings, specifications, and other associated documents.
Compose scope and bid letters and complete required bid forms as required, including all general and specific terms, conditions, inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications as needed.
Follow-up with contractors and clients to obtain bid results and perform competitive analysis of our numbers to determine our position in the market.
After jobs are won, help Project Manager and Detailer with necessary items in order to get the job to the shop as quickly as possible.
In conjunction with the project team, executes project to meet schedule and financial goals.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of successful and verifiable experience estimating structural and miscellaneous steel.
An understanding of construction industry practices, processes, and standards including shop fabrication/erection, QC and material handling policies.
Experience with external customers, and have the ability to resolve customer issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
Must have basic computer skills such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
